about „Youth for Nature”

„Youth for Nature” is a 7 days youth exchange that aims to support the protection of the environment.

This theme regards the special need for youngsters to act against pollution that we identified. Due to the vast areas that environmental protection covers our project has a holistic approach to allow the participants to see the “big picture” at the end of this project.

The project will take place Gorj County, Romania (Sacelu, Targu Jiu and Motru). Some of the activities will be held in the mining town Motru.

The main idea is to debate related to the topic of environmental protection, to examine the impact of human activities on environment, to see different methods used in their native countries for the protection of the nature, to discover common issues and to show that youth generation is ready to have a positive impact on environment.

The Coordinating organisation of this project is Asociatia Tineret si Dezvoltare Regionala (Youth and Regional Development Association).

The project aims to get together 45 youngsters from 9 European countries (Lithuania, Slovenia, Slovakia, Greece, Malta, France, Estonia, Spain, Romania)

This project has been funded with support from the European Commission. This publication reflects the views only of the author, and the Commission cannot be held responsible for any use which may be made of the information contained therein.’
